Privacy Policy
This policy explains how your personal data is collected, processed and stored when you use the Fubby app and the fubby.social website. By using the app, you accept this policy.
1. Data we collect
- Account information: Name, date of birth, gender, email address or phone number.
- Profile content: Profile photos, bio text, the outdoor activities you select (tent, campervan, hiking, cycling, etc.).
- Your posts: The campsites you pin, the trails you share, notes and photos.
- Location: Only with your permission, approximate location data used to show nearby campsites and trails. You can revoke the permission in your device settings at any time.
- Usage data: In-app interactions, messages sent, session logs, device model and operating system version.
- Technical data: IP address, device identifier, crash logs.
2. Why we process data
- To create your account and keep your session secure,
- To show campsites, trails and events in your region,
- To run the community chat and messaging features,
- To detect rule violations, fake accounts and abuse,
- To send notifications and respond to your support requests,
- To meet our legal obligations.
3. Sharing of data
We do not sell your personal data. Your data is only shared with third parties in the following cases:
- Service providers: Vendors we work with for server hosting, notification delivery, payment verification and analytics (only as much data as the service requires).
- Legal requests: In response to lawful requests from competent authorities.
4. Location and campsite sharing
Your exact location is never shared automatically. A campsite or trail only appears on the map when you choose to share it; for each post you can set the visibility separately (public or followers only) and remove the post later.
5. Retention period
Your data is stored for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your profile information and content are removed from our systems; records subject to statutory retention obligations (such as invoices and transaction records) are kept for the period required by the applicable legislation.
6. Your rights
Under applicable data protection laws, including Turkish Law No. 6698 (KVKK) where it applies, you have the right to access your data, request its correction or deletion, object to its processing, and obtain a copy of your data. You can send your requests to info@fubby.social.
7. Account deletion
You can permanently delete your account in the app via Profile → Settings → Delete Account. If you no longer have access to the app, you can also send the same request by email.
8. Age limit
Fubby is for users aged 18 and over. Accounts we determine to belong to users under 18 are closed and the related data is deleted.
9. Security
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS); passwords are stored irreversibly. We nevertheless remind you that no transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
10. Changes
We may change this policy. We will notify you in the app of significant changes; the current version is always published on this page.
